Dr. Fischer

Dr. Fischer was born and raised in Michigan, earning her DVM from Michigan State University in 1982. She has owned and operated Princevalle Pet Hospital since 1989, doing business as Westwood Animal Hospital until November 2004 when the clinic was moved to the new, expanded facility. She has a special interest in surgery, and has plans to purchase a laser to enhance surgical services.

Dr. Fischer lives in the Aptos countryside with her husband Fred, sons Erick and Alex, and several four

legged friends. She enjoys spending time outdoors (hiking, kayaking, gardening and horseplay), and is currently training to be an assistant scout master with her son's BSA Troop 599. She loves having family live close by. Her sister, Linda Wanslow lives in Gilroy. Her mom, Lora Payne lives in Morgan Hill.

Dr. Fischer is very proud of the new hospital, and she welcomes clients to call for a staff guided tour.



Dr. Colbert

Dr. Suzanne Colbert is a 1992 graduate of the University of California, Davis Vet School. She did a private practice internship in 1993 at a specialty practice in Ventura including surgery, internal medicine, ophthalmology and oncology. Her special interests include challenging medicine cases, surgery, exotics and opthalmology.

She also greatly enjoys playing with cute puppies and kittens and educating clients about their pets individual needs.

Dr Colbert has been a member of the Gilroy community since 1994 and has been an associate at Westwood Animal Hospital/Princevalle Pet Hospital since 1996. She has been married to her husband Greg for almost 19 years and has three children under the age of seven. The Colbert Family attends South Valley Community Church and Dr. Colbert has been an active advocate for local elementary and preschools.
