As an AAHA-accredited hospital, you may be assured that Princevalle Pet Hospital has passed high standards of testing in anesthesia and surgery.

Our veterinarians and technical staff are highly trained to ensure the safest and most efficient procedures for your pet.

All anesthetic procedures carry some risk, but our program is designed to help minimize that risk as much as possible.  One important safety tool is preanesthetic bloodwork that we recommend prior to anesthesia. We also feel it is important to place intravenous catheters and provide fluids to help support our patients during surgery and recovery.

We have a surgical suite that is used solely for surgical procedures. Included is a heated surgical table for patient comfort and protection. All attention is given to maintaining sterility to help prevent infection.

All patients are monitored throughout the surgical procedure by a trained technician. Continuous ECG and oxygen saturations levels are performed. Blood pressures are monitored throughout the procedure.

Pets are monitored carefully during recovery to ensure that they are kept warm, comfortable, and are waking up well and pain free.

Pain management is very important to us, and we closely monitor and treat our patients for pain.

When your pet is ready to be released, either his or her doctor or one of our technicians will go over all home care instructions. You will also be sent home with written care instructions.
